For each instrument there is a pictorial representation of the data to demonstrate some of the image processing tasks that may be performed on these types of data. This is in the same format as the rest of the images on this CD-ROM and can be viewed with the browser you are using to read this, by clicking on the names in the list.
The data used to create these images are also available on this CD-ROM. If you have access to image processing software you may like to process these data yourself. The data are available in a number of different formats which most commercially available image processing packages can handle. For full details on how to access the data, please read the readme.txt file.
